Editorial note

Article Type: Editorial note From: International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching in Education, Volume 2, Issue 2.

I was delighted when the International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching in Education (IJMCE) was established under Dr Sarah Fletcher's founding editorship and published its inaugural issue in 2012, and I have been glad to be able to support IJMCE as a member of its Editorial Advisory Board. So it was an honour to be asked subsequently to provide editorial continuity between Sarah's stepping aside to expedite recovery from illness and the point at which the new editor-in-chief Professor Andy Hobson could take over the reins, by way of finalising the compilation of this second issue of Volume 2. I hope I have risen adequately to this challenge and that you’ll agree with me that the issue carries a very significant and interesting set of papers. I have very much enjoyed this work and look forward to IJMCE going from strength to strength under its new editor.
