British Airways opts for e-learning

British Airways (BA) employees are to get e-learning in regulatory topics, including health and safety and the carriage of dangerous goods.

The training materials are being produced by Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) – one of three preferred suppliers of custom-built e-learning materials for the company's 50,000 staff. BA made the announcement after a selection process over several months.

Elaine Wilson, BA's e-learning manager, commented: "BA has a large and geographically-dispersed workforce, which makes e-learning a highly practical and cost-effective way of delivering the knowledge and skills that we need to keep BA as one of the world's top airlines.

"In addition to commissioning a number of new custom built e-learning materials, we are also revising and consolidating our existing custom-built e-learning courses, with the help of our preferred suppliers."
