Reports how coffee shops are increasingly being regarded as offices away from home for many entrepreneurs and self-employed people, since working out of the local coffee shop offers multiple conveniences and can save money. Explains that this mode of work also poses various challenges, including staying productive and keeping the laptop computer, and the data it contains, secure, and making sure that the shop owners do not mind this activity taking place. Stresses that, just like any office, the local coffee shop has its own rules, office politics and etiquette and, like any office, a cafe has prime workspaces and not so prime locations. Concludes that the only difference when it comes to working in a cafe is that the individual is not guaranteed the same desk every day.ISSN: 1324-5945Reference: 40AP907
