Points out that remote working or e-working is becoming increasingly common in organizations, but that it is still viewed with some suspicion by managers and that e-workers often find themselves remote from the company and adrift from career ladders. Presents advice from senior managers and their bosses who work for Hewlett-Packard, British Gas and the Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust on how to work effectively together despite being many miles apart. Gives brief guidance to remote workers, their managers and their organizations on how to make sure that the working arrangement works for everybody. ISSN: 0025-1925 Reference: 40AG510
