Training Journal (UK), January 2008, Start page: 28, No. of pages: 3Purpose - Describes the benefits that Everyday Financial Solutions (UK financial services organization) has derived from its decision to replace traditional classroom training with blended e-learning and face-to-face training. Design/methodology/approach - Explains why the organization changed its approach to training, how it developed the new system and the benefits that have come from implementing it. Findings - Sees the use of e-learning and rapid authoring tools as having transformed the organization’s training capabilities, enabling the firm to improve staff retention and development. Notes that the firm’s trainers believe that the new system offers them more flexibility in the design and delivery of training and that it has enabled the training team to support the launch of new company-wide projects more effectively.
