Design/methodology/approach - Explains the maternity strategy, who can take advantage of it, and the benefits gained by employees and by the organization. Also gives the views of the company’s human resource director and an employee of the value of the approach taken to maternity leave and the support on returning to work. Findings - Points out that the maternity strategy is seen not just as an equal opportunities issue but also as a way of retaining and recruiting employees.
