Facilities is pleased to support the 2008 CIB W70 Conference in Facilities Management – “Achieving Healthy and Creative Workplaces”.

Facilities management is facing many more challenges today. It is no longer enough to provide functional environments. Commercial organisations are demanding work environments that are stimulating for their employees. In the health sector, hospitals need to provide healing environments, through art-work, colour scheming and planting. For heritage buildings, the ability to attract income through heritage tourism places greater demands on the emotional and educational characteristics of the building “experience”. Similar challenges face many other users of facilities including schools, hotels, offices and retail centres.
