A working model of the first British-made geothermal boiler, demonstrated by Albion Business Services; metalised radiator reflector panels that have just been approved as a measure for SoP schemes, from Ecologic, GTI and Pan Manufacturing; the new Arena gas-fired domestic condensing combination boiler from Ferroli; and the Datatherm heating control and a condensing boiler from Warmworld, who claim that together they offer a 40 per cent fuel saving potential – were some of the exciting products shown at the CEED 2000 Energy Efficiency Conference and Exhibition. This was held at the famous Aston Villa Football Club Conference Centre, in Birmingham, on 14 November 2000. The Conference is sponsored by the Council for Energy Efficiency Development.

The total spectrum of energy efficiency products and services were represented in this major exhibition run annually by the Council for Energy Efficiency Development for the energy efficiency industry and its customers. Products included draught proofing; loft and cavity wall insulation; insulated render and cladding; radiator reflector panels; heating controls, condensing and geothermal boilers; energy saving glass, equipment for blowing insulation; and power tools: there were also service organisations offering insurance for the industry; the CIGA cwi guarantee; with supporting stands from the Energy Saving Trust and the trade associations.

Sponsors of the Conference were British Gas and the Eaga Partnership.
