Weatherall Green & Smith launches new Web site

Keywords: Real estate industry, Internet

Weatherall Green & Smith, a leading UK independent real estate consultancy, recently launched its new Web site. The site reflects the firm's corporate identity (launched in March 2000) and a host of original features and functionality. Like the firm's first site, it is client focused, offering separate areas for occupiers and investors in property.

New facilities on the Weatherall Green & Smith Web site include:

  • over 370 pages of information (including sector experience, partner profiles, regional office overviews etc.) that have been extensively updated;

  • an interactive world map with links to all Weatherall International members;

  • a searchable list of the firm's services and an extensive glossary;

  • a secure extranet for clients using the firm's READ2000 software;

  • easier searching and ordering of research publications;

  • on-line client marketing suites;

  • an enhanced recruitment section with searchable vacancies list and a new graduate section with case studies, diaries and a fun interactive game;

  • an on-line poll to gauge visitor opinions on topical economic, commercial and property issues;

  • access to a database of over 20,000 UK properties (CPD On-line plc); and

  • a property news feed.

Greg Cooke, the senior partner, commented:

We have always been committed to innovative practices. The Internet and e-business will fundamentally change the way that surveyors provide both professional and agency advice. Our total investment in this type of technology exceeds a quarter of a million pounds per year on e-business and this will continue, as we know it brings added value to our clients and our staff.

The new site was developed by Fi System Brand New Media, whose customers include Heinz, Tesco Home Shopping, Proctor and Gamble, Durex, AG Barr (Irn-Bru and Tizer), KP Foods (Hula Hoops), NTL, MBNA, Staples and B&Q.

Weatherall Green & Smith launched its first Web site in January 1999 and has regularly received over 500 visitors each week.

The site can be accessed at www.weatheralls.co.uk
