RICS unites employers and jobseekers online

Keywords: Chartered surveyors, Employment

Property professionals seeking new horizons and employers on the lookout for fresh talent have a new job-search tool to hand, with the launch this week of jobsinsurveying.co.uk

The new Website has been set up by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in collaboration with Internet recruitment specialist jobsin.co.uk to provide the industry with an exclusive online employment forum.

The site contains a range of packages to suit the recruitment needs of all chartered surveyors, from the sole practitioner to the largest corporates.

The service, which is free to those seeking new appointments, is part of the new RICS programme to provide its 100,000 membership with a greater level of commercial and technical support.

RICS director of marketing and services, Donna Huth, said:

Growing numbers of chartered services are using the Web as their prime source of business and professional information and support. This new site is the first of a number of online services we are developing as part of the RICS's commitment to providing the dedicated Web-based services our members demand.

Jobsin chief executive, Simon Maisey, added:

This site is more than just a jobs board. It is one of a number of Websites we have developed providing a range of software solutions to help companies streamline their recruitment processes, saving time, administration and money. For chartered surveyors who are thinking of relocating the site gives access to free lifestyle data, with links to information about where to live, restaurants, local entertainment, schools and even crime rates.

The site can be accessed from the Web sites of both the RICS (www.rics.org) and jobsin.co.uk
