Keywords Lighting, Case studies
In a unique partnership the Lighting Division of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and the Institution of Lighting Engineers have launched the programme for a millennium lighting conference to be held in York from 9-11 July 2000.
The conference aims to provide a lighting forum for the whole profession and will include sessions and case studies appealing to all lighting professionals. Subjects to be addressed will include Remote Source Lighting, Quality in Lighting and Light Pollution as well as addressing educational and professional issues.
ILE Promotions Committee Chairman Nigel Parry said, "In this millennium year we felt it important to bring together lighting professionals who currently have homes in different professional bodies. In planning this conference we have identified common themes which we believe will appeal to all lighting professionals."
Co-organiser Jean Heap, Lighting Division Conference Chairman, added, "It is an exciting project to bring together the two organisations at a single conference and I think we can offer the profession a really special conference to mark a special year."
