7-11 February 2000, London Earls Court, London, UK

Hotelympia 2000 will be the biggest hospitality exhibition ever held in the UK. Occupying every square metre of space in London's Earls Court from 7-11 February 2000, the show will attract more than 60,000 trade visitors from all over the world.

Established for 65 years as the country's leading hospitality industry showcase, Hotelympia 2000 will be a major international event, attracting visitors from over 99 countries around the world, thanks to the strength of Reed Exhibition Company's global marketing strategy.

Arvid Jayal, Exhibition Director, says:

Like the industry it serves, Hotelympia 2000 will be an international event packed with new ideas and innovation, underpinned by worldrenowned features which illustrate in spectacular style the skills and talents of all those who are engaged in the hospitality industry. Over 1,000 exhibitors, representing major manufacturers, distributors and agents from every sector, will be displaying the very latest products and services on the market and conducting vital new business with key industry buyers, specifiers and decision makers.

Above all, Hotelympia will be the showcase for the future: 28,000 square metres of stands will be divided into five easy-to-find, colour-coded and sign posted sectors: Catering Equipment and Services; Food and Drink: Furniture, Furnishings and Tableware; Facilities Management and Technology; and Health, Leisure and Entertainment.

Alongside the world famous Salon Culinaire International de Londres (which incorporates Live Theatre, Salon Display and La Parade des Chefs) will be the new, spectacular Garde d'Or theatre for the first time ever housing the heats and final of the National Chef of the Year and other specialised chef competitions. Introduced in 1998, the Field Kitchen returns by popular demand as Field 2000 - where the Armed Forces serve gourmet food to visitors "in the field" - involving teams from other NATO countries competing with the most basic, portable field catering equipment.

As well as celebrating excellence from individual achievements and talents, invention and innovation will be encouraged, nurtured and applauded with the New Product Awards as will inspirational interiors with the GS Design Competition.

Hotelympia is unrivalled, too, as a business forum for the Hospitality industry. Top executives will gather at Earls Court to address the main issue of the day at the Hospitality Summit. In this stimulating environment, business relationships will be established, partnerships strengthened, and ideas developed, exchanged and expanded.

"Find out more by visiting our new Website, http://www.hotelympia.com" says Arvid Jayal, "with 85,000 requests for information on the site over a four-month period, the Website has already proved to be a key communication tool for everyone in the industry. Make the most of all the Hotelympia 2000 team has to offer during the run-up to the exhibition as well as the show itself."
