Mailroom Management Services has won one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Safety Awards for 1999.
The Merit Award was presented to Michael Luff, MMS's health and safety officer, at a special ceremony at the Stakis Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, 12 May 1999 duringHeath & Safety Expo '99, the UK's premier health and safety at work exhibition.
Later in the evening, the President of RoSPA, Lord Astor of Hever, hosted a gala dinner for representatives of award-winning organisations at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, with show business personality, Ned Sheran CBE, as guest speaker.
The RoSPA Occupational Safety Awards, this year sponsored by RMC, are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work, but are also about ensuring that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. They help reinforce the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrate an organisation's commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.
