Bower Group PLC, incorporating Dudley Bower Facilities Management (DBFM), a leading specialist in facilities management, has received a Silver Award for on-going occupational safety from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The Bower Group received the prestigious and coveted award at the RoSPA Awards Ceremony in Birmingham, during the Health & Safety Expo event in May. In 1998, the company received a Bronze Award.
The citation results from Bower Group's continuous programme of improving occupational safety standards throughout the company. It reflects a good health and safety plan across the group. The examining panel for the RoSPA Awards is independent and includes eminent representatives from various industries and governing bodies such as the TUC.
Bower Group's Health and Safety Manager, Michael Courtier, added:
