CIOB launches new professional development programme

CIOB launches new professional development programme

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has launched a new professional development programme specifically aimed at new graduates entering the construction industry. The programme aims to raise standards in the industry and provide graduates with a path to CIOB membership.

Candidates will be able to choose to work under a vocational training agreement based with their employer, through an approved assessment centre or directly under CIOB guidance.

The programme requires candidates to meet standards in nine key units decision making, communications, information management, planning work, managing work quality, health and safety, managing resources, assessing environmental constraints and personal management at work.

Each candidate will need to form their own personal development plan to work to and will need to call on the services of a CIOB approved assessor.

Full details of the professional development programme are available from Kim Gilder at the CIOB on 01344 630713.
