CRISP construction research database
The Construction Research and Innovation Strategy Panel (CRISP) are releasing their research database on the Web for the beginning of 1998. This research database brings together for the first time a disparate collection of data from various UK funding bodies into a single homogeneous system. As well as allowing users to search by institution, title, project value and date there is a classification scheme which is used to help in identifying key subject areas.

The database contains in excess of 2,500 projects, of which about 800 are likely to be of interest to facilities managers. The system also allows project investigators to update information on their projects online using a secure password system. A "wayfinding" tool is available to help users identify a suitable source of funding for a particular research project. The URL for the site is http://www.crisp.rdg.ac.uk.
