OCLC/AMIGOS Collection Analysis CD
Abstract
Discusses the relevance of the OCLC/AMIGOS CACD in a library environment of budget and staff cuts, and increased service demands. Considers the uses of the CACD as a collection‐analysis tool, the system itself, the three levels of analysis available, and the technical specifications of the hardware and software required to run the CACD. Concludes that the benefits of the CACD lie in allowing detailed bibliographical analyses to be performed quickly, saving staff time and stress in under‐funded libraries.
