Abstract
Discusses the demand for higher thermal insulation in the light of new ideas about saving energy and government regulations to enforce these. Outlines the new requirements of the Energy Regulations of April 1990 and explains suggested methods of compliance. Explores the insulation of ground floors. Suggests that there is a possibility of overāinsulation, leading to a rise in claims associated with moisture problems.
