Electronic access to nutritional resources
Ovid Technologies has announced that it has established a partnership with the Nestlé Foundation to provide electronic access to nutritional resources for researchers seeking grant funding to address malnutrition problems in developing countries.
The Nestlé Foundation partnered with Ovid to develop enLINK (www.enlink.org), an electronic nutrition library initiative, to bridge the digital divide for developing countries seeking to improve conditions in nutrition and health. Ovid’s Portal Advantage Service is enabling the Nestlé Foundation to provide researchers and doctors in low-income countries with access to scientific journals for use in the grant application process to fund resources to help in the fight against country-specific nutritional deficiencies. At the onset of the programme, enLINK will primarily be used by 50-100 researchers and doctors in Africa, Asia and Central and South America.
