Award for eTEN “Touch & turn virtual library” project
The eTEN “Touch & turn virtual library” project has won first price for the best Web based/virtual application in the Nordic Digital Excellence of Museums (NODEM) conference. The T&T virtual library (www.touchandturn.com) provides an innovative way of facilitating public access to rare, fragile and valuable material, giving users the experience of turning the pages of an original document, with zoom, translation and commentary capabilities in an unlimited number of languages. The project is financed by the EC’s eTEN programme.
