The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has selected Techstreet to distribute publication of ASCE standards online. ASCE members and customers can now search, order and download individual ASCE standards in PDF format or sign up for a company-wide, multi-user, Web-based subscription at the ASCE Web site.

Part of the larger ASCE online publications store, visitors to the new ASCE digital standards store can search, browse and download ASCE standards in digital format. In addition, there are thousands more downloadable standards from related publishers such as the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO), the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA), and many others.

One of the hallmarks of the new store is the multi-user, Web-based subscription service that features more than 15,000 engineering standards and provides online access to an entire corporate enterprise without having to manage a paper library. The ASCE/Techstreet partnership creates one of the largest and most comprehensive engineering publications databases in the world.

ASCE President Patricia D. Galloway, said:

  • Our partnership with Techstreet provides our users with improved access to an expanded selection of ASCE publications and industry-related resources in an accessible, digital format. ASCE’s online publications store has truly become the definitive information source for engineering professionals worldwide.

Andrew Bank, vice president, Business Development at Techstreet, said:

  • We are proud to be working with ASCE to improve access to their publications and enhance user experience on their Web site. The corporate subscription service brings a new dimension to their product and service offerings.

Founded in 1852, ASCE represents more than 133,000 civil engineers worldwide and is America’s oldest national engineering society. ASCE celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2002.
