Abstract

Results of the National Food Survey for the household consumption of food during the third quarter of 1991 have recently been released. Expenditure on food bought for domestic consumption averaged £12.64 per person per week during this quarter. This represents a fall of 54p (4.1 per cent) over the previous quarter, but a rise of 69p (5.8 per cent) compared with the same quarter last year.
