Abstract

Aesthetic consideration apart, properly co‐ordinated lighting and colour schemes produce benefits of direct interest to the industrial manager: Ease of cleaning and maintenance, improved ‘task visibility’ and safety, an impressive company image and — perhaps more intangibly — higher staff morale. Matthew Collins looks at the factory applications of lighting and colour and reports on where to go for free, expert advice.
