The North Sea price gamble

Abstract
Is North Sea oil really going to prove Britain's economic saviour. Or will it turn out to be a mighty black elephant? With the first yield now coming ashore, oil industry consultant, William Giddings examines the economics of the North Sea venture in a global context and poses the disturbing question: is Britain's oil in danger of being priced out of the market?
