Jessel has a rethink on takeover tactics

Abstract

Because of what he sees as a marked change in the takeover climate, financier Oliver Jessel believes that the days of fiercely contested bids are over. Jessel also has some critical comments to make about merchant banks who, he says, often make inflated claims about companies they are defending.
