Wages: Heath on the threshold of victory

Abstract

THE PRIME MINISTER is winning his battle against inflationary wage increases. This is confirmed by a confidential survey among 600 firms carried out by the Confederation of British Industry, which shows that pay rises in the private sector have followed the downward trend of those in State industries.
