Abstract
WORK IN SOME PARTS of industry is now so boring that youngsters taking their first jobs are placed under great mental stress. The most obvious symptom of the Great British Yawn is a turnover rate amongst teenagers that is much higher than the already‐bad record of people as a whole in boring and repetitive jobs.
