HOW RELIABLE ARE ANTIFRICTION BEARINGS?
Abstract
If a bearing is carefully handled and correctly mounted, efficiently sealed and properly lubricated, then every cause of damage except one—fatigue— is eliminated. Thus the life of an individual bearing is defined as the number of revolutions that the bearing can make without signs of fatigue damage appearing on any of the rolling surfaces.
