AB  - The HISTORY BEHIND THE BUILDING UP of many of our best known names in industry is frequently a colourful story. Not all of them have been launched by financial geniuses with unlimited capital, and many a product that has been thus introduced to the engineering world has failed to realise its promotors meanest wishes. But it is not always a product that is really needed by industry which has an easy and uninterrupted path to fame. Engineers the world over are known to be very conservative in outlook and do not take readily to a new product when the old one has given good service and still continues to meet the bill. Perhaps this has many advantages for many industries, but it frequently ignores progress, and therefore delays the general acceptance of many products designed to increase production or assist production efficiency.
