Abstract

Filtration was illustrated by a very realistic model showing dirty oil before filtration and clean oil after filtration, cascading over a series of glass discs. Several models of lubricant pumping units ranging from the simple grouped nipple system to the manual and fully centralized systems demonstrated the modern methods of application. Of particular interest were the mechanical parts on show that had failed in service due to inadequate lubrication. These provided very convincing examples of the practical importance of correct application of lubricants.
