Running in BEDFORD engines

Abstract

The importance of running‐in motor vehicles correctly is appreciated by every user of private as well as commercial types. The ultimate length of trouble free life may well depend upon the handling of the engine during the early running‐in stages. All readers will realise the reasons for this and will be conversant with the object of breaking down the “peaks” of the “hills” and thus smoothing down the high spots on bearing surfaces.
