Abstract
The chemical information marketplace is a truly international one, in which Europeans play a very important part, especially in the areas which I have selected for discussion. The last few years have seen a dramatic increase in the use of chemical information systems which employ topological coding — for example, CAS online, Telesystemes‐DARC and the Molecular Design suite of programs.
