Abstract

This paper begins with a discussion of definitions of certain terms to be used, and clarifies the scope of the presentation. It then turns to aspects of libraries and users to clarify the services that may be required. The third and longest section briefly covers the different sorts of data that maybe available in or via libraries under the umbrella term medical statistics, and points to other sources of material.
