Abstract

This paper defines market research reports, house journals and trade literature, discusses the availability of these forms of literature within the U.K. and finally considers their bibliographic control. The discussion on bibliographic control is not limited to literature emanating from the U.K. Since the three types of literature are very different from each other (although house journals and trade literature have features in common) they will be treated as quite separate cases. The need for, and use of these types of literature, undeniably very important topics, are nevertheless outside the scope of this paper.
