Non‐conventional literature: Chairman's introduction

Abstract

Today's conference is fortunate in being able to call on expert speakers with wide experience in national libraries, local government, education, industry and the EEC. The subject itself is important and timely since hardly a day goes by without the national or technical press carrying a reference to the latest report, study paper or memorandum on this or that topic of the moment. Many of these documents come under the category of non‐conventional literature.
