Creating an identity

Abstract

In common with many other Polytechnic libraries, Sheffield City Polytechnic Library is made up of a number of previously autonomous units, with a wide range of buildings, some new, some converted premises, and a divergent set of traditions and practices. It was important to weld these disparate libraries into one coherent library system and as part of this process it was felt important to develop a corporate identity for the Library.
