DOCUMENTATION IN CRIMINOLOGY: Proceedings of an Invitation Conference London, 5th November 1964
Abstract
In May 1964 a memorandum on documentation needs of the social sciences was published in which it was stated that Aslib would hold a conference in the autumn of 1964 for the purpose of ascertaining from a group of social scientists the extent of their use of, and satisfaction with, existing services, and their probable response to services which might be offered. This conference was the outcome and, as was suggested in the memorandum, an interdisciplinary field, namely Criminology, was chosen. As a result of the conference, a small working party was set up to study the proposals made, to formulate plans for the future and to report back to the members of the conference.
