Two hats for Nancy Jean Melin, RSR's new Editor

Abstract

Reference Services Review has established itself as an essential reference collection management resource. As I assume the editorship of the journal I have set for myself several goals which I hope will further its value and importance. One must be to continue to present material at the level of excellence established by former editor Cecily Johns. Another will be to promote the critical responsibilities of public service work among technical services librarians as well as to make the complexities of materials processing more easily understood by reference personnel. A third is to regularize publication of the journal.
