Abstract

The future of self‐regulation in the securities industry is one of the most hotly debated topics around today. In a speech given in May at the International Organization of Securities Commissioners (IOSCO) in Sydney Australia, the author, a senior vice president of the NASDR explains his view of where self‐regulation is going. Also, he shares with the audience, and now our readers, the basis for his hypothesis. Students of the industry, particularly compliance and legal professionals, should find the presentation fascinating.
