Abstract

This guest editorial is based on a presentation delivered by Ron Dunn at the National Online Meeting in New York on May 13, 1998. At the time, Ron was President of the Information Industry Association, but he has since moved on to become CEO of the Higher Education and International Group of International Thomson Publishing.
