Abstract

Information takes many forms. In the information age computers can provide a variety of ways to bring information to a visual platform. Vistapro is a unique program which allows flat topographic maps to be represented as visual landscapes, looking very similar to the actual places being rendered. With the program photographic quality pictures can be formed — there are even maps of Venus and Mars with which to interact. Vistapro 1.0, 3.0 and add‐on peripherals will be dealt with here. Hardware requirements differ with the different upgrades to the program. The program can be used by map librarians, geologists, cartographers and persons looking for creative entertainment.
