Abstract
During the past year there have been several major changes in rewritable optical discs. The most obvious is the advent of 3½ inch rewritable disc drives, which use discs that look much like conventional 3½ inch floppies except that the iridescence of the optical disc surface shows through an open slot in the plastic package.
