Laser curing of finishing systems

Abstract

When Albert Einstein theoretically proved the possibility of laser action in 1917, who could have thought it would come to this? Yes, once again scientists have applied the laser to another previously unchallenged area of industry — curing of coatings. It was once said “that a laser was developed as an answer looking for a problem.” However poking fun at laser techniques has not stopped them from leading part of the fastest‐growing sector of the metal and plastic cutting and welding industry.
