Abstract

HVLP (high volume low pressure) spraying equipment is much in the news, with Binks‐Bullows and DeVilbiss setting the pace. Without wishing to deny HVLP's undoubted advantages for certain applications — particularly with low viscosity/low solids materials, are we not in danger of believing that HVLP is a universal panacea for improving transfer efficiency and reducing solvent emissions?
