Security ink developments

Abstract

The development of security inks and their applications are often clothed in mystery, and precise details can be difficult to obtain. Forgery and counterfeits are becoming more sophisticated, and security ink manufacturers are in competition not only with other suppliers, but against an expanding, knowledgeable criminal fraternity. Security inks are a growth area in printing ink development, as a wide range of customers require them; these inks are now used even on concert and lottery tickets.
