Serials Control Systems: an overview

Abstract

Love them or hate them, and few people are indifferent, serials systems are an increasingly important aspect of library automation. For a long time the Cinderella of automated housekeeping systems, serials control is now on offer from most of the library automation suppliers as well as a number of ‘peripheral’ suppliers such as subscription agents.
