(Roger Shrigley was at CLW on the postgraduate course 1967/8, a period of his life which he has expunged from his memory except for the many lasting friendships (including his spouse) he made there. He is now battlingwith continual cuts as Sub‐Librarian at a part of London University in Surrey where half the library is in a replica of the Chateau de Chambord and the other half in temporary buildings formerly boarding sheds at Heathrow Airport.)
