Abstract
A new satellite for the Royal Aerospace Establishment (RAE) will be constructed from thermoplastic composite panels developed by Courtaulds Research and Courtaulds Advanced Materials, which have significant advantages in performance over earlier materials. The RAE satellite is designed to perform a technology research mission and will contain a number of experiments. It will be launched by Arianne in 1992.
