AB  - THE result of some two years of development work by P. A. Hilton Ltd. is a continuous burning gaseous oxygen rocket motor intended for demonstration and research purposes in Universities and Engineering Colleges where such subjects as ‘Thermodynamics’ and ‘Heat Engines’ form part of the curriculum. Since a rocket motor has no mechanically‐moving parts it is one of the simplest forms of heat engine. Heat is transformed directly into kinetic energy and as such forms the basis of an ideal combustion test rig.
