AB  - As a result of negotiations between Smiths Aviation Division and Sud Aviation, the French company has placed an order for simplex and multiplex versions of the Smiths automatic landing system. Two Caravelles will be equipped experimentally with these systems so that a complete evaluation can be carried out with the ultimate object of obtaining certification for civil airline use.
